Lesson with Sue - 1/12/12

Had a great lesson with Sue today. Intended to work on making our showjumping rounds a bit tidier and maintaining a pace, but Sue did some things one making him more responsive by using less leg and more body. Previously I had been told to use a lot of leg as Sky could be unresponsive, but Sue said that banging away at his sides could make him dead (which I knew) and that he was very intelligent (which I didn't know) and that he would easily sense when I changed my body and what that meant.

We did some jumping - only up to about 80cm, and she made me stand in the most uncomfortable jumping position ever! I think I get what she wanted though, and I am really looking forward to another one. She is really loud - even from 20 meters away I can hear her yelling: STOP RISING!!!!
